The number of times I’ve been made to feel less than because my husband wasn’t at my side. And heaven forbid I forget to put on my wedding ring.

That One Time… In Church…
One time, I walked into a new church with my kids and immediately some well-meaning people came up and let me know they have incredible support programs including for single moms or divorced moms. What?! My husband isn’t gone, he just works. We ended up finding a new church for a variety of reasons, but that wasn’t the best first impression.
Our Reality
Our reality is that we need to be a little more independent than the average person. We head to functions with the kids, preparing to do it alone, but excited when he gets to be there. Don’t put your life on hold just because he can’t be there for all of it. But also, don’t be hard on yourself if you just can’t do it alone sometimes. There’s no book but the Bible for how we’re supposed to navigate LEO Wife Life.
